Negative Approach - S/T 7"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=weGJ1kfUkkA

Old-school bare-bones hardcore that everybody should already know...Short, to the point, concrete slabs of songs..."NOTHING"

Cadillac Freeze - "So Vibratious" EP

http://cadillacfreeze.bandcamp.com/

Confident and funky hip hop thats both fun and strong without having any gangster pretense or overwhelming ignorance...Good stuff

Himsa - "Courting Tragedy and Disaster"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d8FopIzE8Tc&list=ALBTKoXRg38BCkaMOJA23ekhr1Ni7d77LT

2000s metalcore from Washington state thats so much more boring and generic and put-together than I remember

Faith No More - "Angel Dust"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hiyvw5AD-C8

Probably the best metal album of the 1990s if not of all time...I was fucking OBSESSED with this album last summer so much so that its like beaten to death for me but its still a classic..."Smaller and Smaller"/"Everything's Ruined"/"Kindergarten"/"Be Aggressive"

Mighty Mighty Bosstones - "Let's Face It"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BeEnuPFRSdw&list=PL6570B1FFA5968967

This album has "The Impression That I Get" on it, the song that sent third-wave ska into a short mainstream focus. I think a lot of people see this band as like, not serious or something, but this is a very strong album about alcoholism and drug use and shit, and I listen to it more than any other ska album besides maybe stuff by The English Beat..."That Bug Bit Me"/"Never Mind Me"/"Break So Easily"...so good

Dystopia - "The Aftermath"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7WJ2BvYA3As&list=PLXr6roSqjbmOSp3_lPpZZU_zwht14akuE

Almost debilitatingly negative and harsh but an absolute classic for metallic crust..."Population Birth Control"

Faith No More - "The Real Thing"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W5sKgTMu7Gk

Why doesn't Mike Patton ever use this high-pitched voice anymore, or like ever after this album? The apex of funk-metal.

Love Anwar - "The Poppy Seed Patriot" EP

http://loveanwar.bandcamp.com/

Very good laid back beat music reminiscent of J Dilla

Suzy's Dead - S/T EP

http://susysower.bandcamp.com/album/suzys-dead

Very sloppy, shitty, whiny acoustic stuff

Black Flag - "What The..."

http://grooveshark.com/#!/album/what-the/9348132

If this were a comeback album by The Freeze or Agent Orange or something itd be passable but it doesn't make sense as Black Flag...Too corny...11 of the 22 songs are okay but again, not really as Black Flag songs...

Apart - "A Bright and Clever Hell" EP

https://mayflyrecords.bandcamp.com/releases

Very good although a bit already-done screamo...I guess this is their final release and are already broken up

Radiohead - "The Bends"

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=T7EzQvnA4DQ

One of my favorite albums ever...intuitively listenable but brimming with sadness and discomfort...perhaps their best

Palm Reader - "Unlucky" EP

http://palmreaderoc.bandcamp.com

Reverb-y OC garage indie...one of the songs in the middle is almost like a hardcore song though...this is alright

Circle Jerks - "Golden Shower Of Hits"

http://grooveshark.com/#!/album/golden-shower-of-hits/311613

Classic 1983 California hc skate punk..the best album by this band by a long shot

Peachy Keene - "weightless in Wonder" mini-album

http://peachykeenemusic.bandcamp.com

Metric-style female-fronted indie...pretty but kinda boring

Knights Of The Abyss - "Juggernaut"

http://grooveshark.com/#!/album/juggernaut/494920

One of the best bands the deathcore genre ever produced and this was their best album

Dubfound - 6-song demo

https://m.facebook.com/DubFound?id=291949585845&_rdr

Just terrible SoCal ska/reggae/punk about weed and alcohol and the sun and bullshit like that

Johnny Soul Dog & The Moon Barkers - "Pollen Pasture" demo

http://johnnysouldogandthemoonbarkers.bandcamp.com

Cool female-fronted punk that touches on Patti Smith, Melt-Banana and "Rapture"-esque rapping throughout the demo...cool stuff

And The Hero Fails - "Empire Smile"

http://grooveshark.com/#!/album/empire-smile/246915

Good advanced metal core from the mis-2000s...I got this CD for free and never heard anything of the band like shows, mercy, anything like other bands with this sound were ubiquitous with but they're good...some catchy yet still technical stuff...I wonder what happened with them...Probably just a crowded marketplace

Daylight - "Jar"

http://daylightpa.bandcamp.com/album/jar

Pennsylvania-based grunge-inspired rock that sounds like it was from the 1990s, but more along the Foo Fighters/Everclear/(cringe)Chevelle post-flannel variety. Weezer-esque at times as well. Extremely listenable but also kinda boring
