This album has all the telltale staleness of an old-guy album and yet also this strange biting pull that I cannot deny. This is Black fucking Sabbath after all and they do seem to have had some vigor when they went into this...If anything, their age is actually important to what this album is about, which appears to be their dismay at what their legacy has become or the things they inadvertently influenced (I.e. all metalheads)
